Our Committment
______________________________ Our goal for SPS is to make agriculture and rural living more sustainable in addition to making it easier for companies and farmers to simply "do the right thing." In the not-too-distant future, drop offs and collections of plastic streams will make recycling agricultural films and other plastics convenient for farms and businesses. We are committed to not only collecting and recycling these plastics, but also to creating high end resin that can be used in manufacturing processes which usually use only prime/virgin material. |
Environmental Responsiblity
_________________________________ We do not release any fumes/gases from our process and we are committed to keeping plastics - both raw and processed - contained and out of local land and water ways. We have signed on to be part of Operation Clean Sweep, which is a program which provides guidelines for plastics industry operations to reduce the accidental loss of plastic pellets from all parts of the plastics value-chain into the environment. For detailed information on this program visit their website: www.opcleansweep.org.au/ |
Environmental Impact
________________________________ Annually we will take back up to 10,000 tonnes of plastic each year and prevent it from entering landfill, being buried or being burned. We are working closely with individuals, farmers and corporations to create solutions for their waste. This may be facilitating a drop off point for silage wrap, organising a pick-up from farmers or co-ordinating a National Recycling Program for a grain company to recycle their grain tarp. We are willing to provide recycling solutions for any size of enterprise. We also only bring plastics on site that we can recycle and sell on. Stockpiling is not our business model and we want our local community to have confidence we are truly recycling. |
